When I first heard the song, I immediately teared up. COME ON, it’s a punk song. Why am I crying? God was singing right to my young heart, word of healing. The song is about a girl in a talent show who sees how talented every else is around her. She is going to sing her little song, but she knows she is not as good as everyone else. The applause is loud for everyone but her. Crying, she runs off the stage only to run into her father back stage.  He pulls her aside and sings to her…

“Oh, Bravo….

Your the best

Your my only one

Oh, Bravo!

That will always be enough

Look at me!

Your song was beautiful, beautiful

and even if nobody every knows

BRAVO!”

Life feels like running on a treadmill. The world is always hitting the faster button. Yelling at you to keep up the pace. Don’t slow down. Keep running for days, weeks, years. Until you ugly fall, like ones you see on memes. So you climb back up , with treadmill burn on your face and try again.

God comes into the scene with tears in his eyes and hits the STOP button. “Young one, you will always be enough for me.” What an amazing Father we have. When the world is relentless.  Telling us to keep up or be left behind. There He is giving what all our young hearts need. LOVE & ACCEPTANCE.  Jesus thank you so much for reaching me through a punk song. I still cry every time I hear my Father sing those words over me. I pray you have those special moments with our Father too.
