After the Lord gave me a new vision (see my last blog), it was time to fight, make the right decisions, and create new habits to reprogram my mind. The battlefield is in your mind and the battle is for your heart. The process of healing takes time so don’t rush the process, allow the Holy Spirit to counsel you through your healing.

Once I said this prayer,  “God if you are real you’ve got to show me and do whatever it takes to change my life”, the enemy started his attack on my life.  I could just see him say: oh you think you’re going to just walk away from me when you’ve been my slave, I Own You.  Satan started to intimidate me with the old lies – you’re stupid, your dad doesn’t love you or care about you, you’ll never get over that sexual addiction, don’t trust women, give up on life.  He would show me how God didn’t come through for me by saying: you’ve prayed the word over yourself and you’re still jacked up it doesn’t work God doesn’t care about you.  It was a all out assault on my heart and mind and soul.

In the movie The Passion Of The Christ there’s a scene where Jesus is crying out to God.  Here it goes watch it for yourself:

Jesus: Hear me Father.  Rise up and defend me.
Satan: Do you really believe that one man can bear the full burden of sin?
Jesus: Shelter me Father.  I Trust You.
Satan: Who is your Father?
           Who are you?
Jesus crushes the serpent under his feet.

In that scene Jesus totally ignored Satan. Instead, he cried out to Father God and he stood on the truth.
That was the first habit I had to create – ignore the lies the enemy was trying to put on me and confess the truth of who God says I am.

All of Satan’s attacks on us stem from the questions – Who is your Father and Who are you?

My first and most powerful prayer is God I Trust You, God I Trust You, God I Trust You.  When the lies tried to come in I would say No Satan! God I Trust You.  When I had an emotion that didn’t line up with the truth – God I Trust You.  When fears tried to invade my soul – God I Trust You.

Meditate on this scripture: Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV)5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths

Here is a really good teaching on Proverbs 3:5-6

Father God I ask you to give every person who reads this a complete vision of how you see them and empower them to stand on that truth. Teach them to know the difference between your voice and the liar’s voice. Teach them how to trust you and you alone in Jesus name I pray. Amen.

If no one has told you today, I Love You. I want to let you know from the bottom of my heart, I Love You.  Even better, God Loves You.
Tony.
